We are parents who want to shop meaningfully and sustainably, but also in a relaxed way. Therefore, we created SKÁKALPES, a unique concept store, which is focused on trendy kids’ fashion, toys and accessories, everything in beautiful surroundings adjusted to parents and (above all) to their children.

Our vision is to create a place in the city centre friendly for both children and parents based on sustainability and ecological point of view. And since children grow fast, in SKÁKALPES you can find the best quality second-hand fashion, which is given a second life. We also offer a selection of the most stylish kids’ fashion, barefoot shoes, books and toys made by Czech and Slovak designers, best quality direct trade coffee and tea and local pastry and confectionery.

We want to live more thoughtfully toward nature and humans, that there still flourish green meadows and all living beings who want to skip over them. We support slow fashion, zero waste, textile recycling and a local production of high-quality clothes, as well as enjoying shopping in moderation and in a relaxed mood.

We are fans of minimalism and functionality, as well as beauty, joy and motion. We love purity and simplicity, but also diversity and zest. We prefer high-quality comfortable materials, but we also like urban playfulness and vigour, so we want to be chic too.

Where there is a skipping dog (SKÁKALPES), there must also be a hunter behind him. In this case it is a mum of two gingers; somewhat a philosopher, somewhat a dancer, somewhat a teacher from Prague town Vinohrady who embarked on her big journey in 2018. Her aim is to sweeten parenthood in the city. After all, her vision springs from her own experience.

In March 2019, we opened our first unique store in Rybalkova Street, just over Gröbovka park. Nevetheless, in January 2022, we have decided to close the store - not only because of the covid hardships, but mainly as we had found bigger, more beautiful and barrier-free place in Francouzska street nr. 15 where SKAKALPES concept can really bloom and offer something new - cafe and playroom with garden where you can eventually sit and shop leisurely even with your kids. We are going to serve the best coffeee from Beansmith's, unique tea leaves from Meetea studio, healthy raw snacks and delicious pastry from Psary bakery.

If you have stylish high-quality kids’ clothing at home, but your kids have grown out of it, contact us and we can gladly buy up selected pieces. We prefer Czech or Slovak fashion brands, but we also like brands like Gray Label, Mainio, Petit bateau, Tiny cottons, etc. In the second-hand section you can find selected jewels from brands like Next, Zara, GAP, Mothercare, Marks and Spencer, etc.
